Aaron Packingham is a licensed clinical social worker who works with children, teens, and adults. Aaron earned his Masters in Social Work at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with a focus in serving the complex needs of children and families.
Aaron has more than 10 years of experience working with children and families on issues related to mental health, trauma, parenting, and relationships. Aaron also specializes in and is passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, and creates a safe space for individuals to explore their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression. Aaron utilizes the systems-theory model of looking at the whole picture and how it affects the individual within. He has training in Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy – both modes of treatment that reliably result in decreases in symptoms of anxiety and depression, as well as improving clients’ management of interpersonal conflicts. Aaron enjoys connecting with clients, and strives to build a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance in order to help you reach your goals and potential.
