Caitlin Ellis earned her Masters degree in Counseling, with a concentration in Couples and Family therapy, from the University of Colorado Denver. Caitlin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Rutgers University, where she received the Psychology Department Award for academic excellence.
Caitlin specializes in working with married and unmarried couples experiencing a variety of relationship challenges such as escalated conflict, strained communication, and lack of connection. Caitlin also works with pre-marital or newlywed couples looking to shore up their relationship for future life challenges they will face together. Caitlin practices primarily Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), a science-based and research-proven couples therapy intervention. She has been formally trained in EFT and continues to engage in training related to this model.
Caitlin also specializes in working with individual adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, or those who wish to heal old wounds from their past. Caitlin uses an integrative approach combining emotional exploration along with practical tools and techniques, tailored to fit each unique client. Her style is warm and down-to-earth with a touch of humor.
